FAQ

Question:  How did your appearance at Lake Worth Library go?

The appearance went fabulously!  It was so much fun because appearing there and reading my book shows how life can come full circle.

Question:  What does that mean?

It means that wishes you made or experiences you have that are not completed, come around again – or in my case, I made several plans so very long ago – actually when I was about 9 years old – and after so many detours, I am not only home again, but those wishes and dreams have come true.

Question:  Just like that?

Not just like that!  Just like working hard, taking many trails leading back to my ultimate goal of writing full time.

Question:  What were some of those trails?

Going back to school – for experience, an education, and a teaching certificate because my second love is teaching the English language and to be interesting enough that kids will want to read.

Today they have the Kindle, etc.

Question:  Does that enhance reading?

Yes, for a reader it does.  However, those who do not read still will not read.

Question:  What’s going to happen to libraries?

They adapted to tapes, cds, videos, etc.  I KNOW they will adapt to the changes again because they are the smartest people in the world!

Question:  What did you talk about at your appearance?

Mostly, I read short snippets from WANTED FIRST MATE, and then I talked about my next book.

Question:  What’s your next book about?

It’s called KEY WEST INTERLUDE.  It’s the book I started before WANTED FIRST MATE “got in the way.”  By that I mean I had an outline and was ready to go on KW INT (my abbreviation for the novel) when ELLIE kept getting in the way.  Now, I’m back to KW INT and ready to go!

Question:  What is Key West Interlude about?

The main character is PAULETTE MARSHALL and it’s the beginning of a series.  She has recently divorced from her Beverly Hills plastic surgeon husband (his idea), and now she’s on her own.  Their son is off to college and she’s only 38 years old!  Now what?  And, we take off from there!  It’s fun to write – much different that WANTED and I’m positive you will enjoy it!
